Star stitch

Star stitch is often worked scattered on background fabric to add interest. Using a watererasable pen, mark the star stitch on your fabric and then bring your needle to the front at the position marked A. Take the needle to the back of the fabric at B and then bring it back up again at C. Take the needle to the back of the fabric at D and then bring it back up again at E. Continue in this manner to complete all spokes of the star, working a small stitch at the centre to secure your stitches.
