Over the past 25 years we have become increasingly aware of the benefits craft can have on our wellbeing and mental health, which is a cause dear to Homespun’s heart.

We are proud to use our 25th Anniversary Issue to bring attention to the ways in
which crafting can have significant mental health benefits and play a small role in helping our community and our loved ones develop a mindful practice.

This is a special quilt that has been designed to support the not-for-profit, independent organisation, Beyond Blue. For this special two-part quilt, six of Australia’s favourite designers have each created two blocks, working to the theme of Slow Stitching.

The project will bring attention to the ways in which crafting can have significant mental health benefits. The completed quilt will be raffled and the funds raised will be donated to Beyond Blue.

The fabrics used in this quilt were donated by Australian fabric distributor, Two Green Zebras.
