Straight stitch

Bring the thread up at the left hand side of your work and take it back down again to make a straight stitch, ensuring that the stitch is not too long and that it’s firm so it lies flat against the
fabric. When the project instructions specify primitive straight stitch, work your stitches larger and less even than usual.
