Stitch Steps: Palestrina stitch

Palestrina stitch goes by several other names as well: Smyrna, double knot, pearl, tied coral and old English knot stitches. It’s a three-step stitch that creates a richly textural line that can resemble a line of beads. It can be worked singly, in lines and with varying lengths to the base stitches.
